Knit, Natter, Stitch & Chatter

Knit, Natter, Stitch & Chatter

Starts again on Wednesday 11th January 2017 2pm - 4pm.

Come and spend the afternoon with us, make new friends, bring your knitting or sewing or simply enjoy some refreshments in the company of others. If you haven't got anything on the go at the moment we can always offer some suggestions as to what you can make either for a charity or the church and we have spare wool available. So why don't you come along and join us.

Prayer Shawl Ministry

We also knit prayer shawls to give to people who are going through difficult times. These shawls are blessed in church and then passed on to people who are sick in body, mind or spirit. They are knitted with love and prayers. Please ask one of the clergy if you would like us to give one on behalf of the church.

We also knit shawls for babies and young children facing illness or surgery. All come gift wrapped and with a card. Volunteers are always needed to knit more shawls.

Baptismal Purificators.

We also knit small purificators (small cloths) each with a cross motif in the centre which we use to dry the babies head when baptised. These small tokens are then given to parents as a keepsake and a reminder of the baptism day. They are easy to make and take approx 1hr to knit. We need approx 35 per year to cover the baptisms we have. Help is appreciated in knitting these.

Speak to the Vicar for more information.
