Prayer at Emmanuel

During the services at 8.30am and 10.30am on Sundays and 1pm on Thursday (in the Hall) we pray for the sick and bereaved by name. 

There is a prayer request book at the back of church and people are invited to add names for people to be included in our weekly intercessions. Please make sure that you have the permission of any person you wish to add to the list.

Prayer Meetings

These take place on the 2nd & 4th Mondays of the month at 1pm in the Church (or Parish Centre in colder weather). Meetings usually last for approximately one hour.  It is a quiet time for prayer, meditation with music and reflection on our spiritual lives.  It is very restful and theraputic in its approach to contemplative prayer in this busy world.

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God”. (Philippians 4:6)

The group prays for those whose names are in the prayer request book and other concerns.

Anyone is welcome to come and meet with us.

People are free to join in with open prayer or to pray silently.
